Today is World Mental Health Day, and I want to take a moment to talk about something involving all of us—our mental well-being. Mental health shouldn’t just be something that only comes into focus when things fall apart. It’s there in the quiet moments too, in the spaces we create for ourselves to just be. And sometimes, it’s in these very moments where we realize how much we need to show up for ourselves.

Life can be heavy. Whether it’s dealing with personal struggles, the pressure to always perform, or simply the weight of expectations we place on our own shoulders, it can feel like we’re always running. But mental health—true mental wellness—is about slowing down. It’s about acknowledging that we don’t have to be perfect. We just have to be here.

I’ve learned through my own journey that mental health is more than just the absence of sadness or stress. It’s the presence of care—gentle, intentional care for yourself, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard. I used to think I had to do everything right, always be strong, and never make a mistake. But I’ve come to realize that true strength is found in vulnerability, in the moments when we allow ourselves to be human, and in the spaces where we give ourselves permission to rest. Mental health can feel so invisible, yet it impacts everything. And the truth is, we’re all carrying something, even when no one else can see it.

On this day, let’s remind ourselves that mental wellness is not about fixing all our problems, but about creating balance, finding peace in the little things, and showing up for ourselves every day—whether that looks like a moment of stillness, a conversation with someone close, or simply allowing yourself feel what you need to feel.

If you’re reading this and you feel overwhelmed, you’re not alone. It’s okay to take a breath. It’s okay to take a break. And it’s okay to ask for help. Showing up for yourself can be as simple as saying, “I need a moment alone.” And today, I hope you take that moment for you.

You deserve it.

Let’s continue to live well—not just in body, but in mind and heart too.

With love and care,

Natassja
